Pixel Dust
The 8th show, this is the show i chose to go with something different. Its also the show that I cross the 100 marker barrier! I am very happy and very exhausted but fortunately I have the benefit of many people (and if you're reading this you may very well be who I am speaking of) and all the great energy I have been getting in return for my efforts, its truly the fuel in this creative vehicle I'm in! This "Unusual Journey" doesn't happen alone, I need the feedback and energy of all the viewers too.
And that brings me to Pixel Dust, there is no paint, no canvas, the show is completely digital and lives in the ethereal world of 1s and 0s. I am by no means a master of Photoshop but I understand it is a creative expression tool to be used as I use my brushes, or spray cans, or pencils and pens. It is a means to convey my message, my expression to you, it's similar but the tool is different, the tool forces my hand to express differently so i let it go, not knowing full well what the result will be and yet hoping you wont be disappointed in my efforts, I really do try so hard to please you!
My foray into digital, its not as fun as painting, painting involves my entire body, digital just my mind and several small gestures from my hand and thats it, this foray dives into my graffiti past heavily where the computer seems to lend itself best too but still keeping my lines ever so sharper than my brush could hope for. The result is definitely a place where I could never have imagined if not for embarking on this "unusual journey"

Oh Crap
No show of mine would be complete without the presence of a misfit, I have grown to love them, just as so many admirers and fans have become so I had to include one of my faves. Representing the notion

Inspiration, for any artist can come from anywhere, from almost any place or experience. Its experience that fuels all my work, almost all of my pieces come from these experiences, my job an artist is to interpret these muddled messages that rack my mind each minute

Style
This piece was originally based on an oil painting i had done around 1998 and sold to a friend. Since he wouldn’t sell it back to me i was forced to contemplate if i could re-do that piece (never a good idea, the paintings never capture the same magic). Years

Gina
A personal journey that is difficult to share because its based on a misfortune of another. I photographed the model over 10 years ago wondering what would ever become of the photos which turned out not great but I think captured some sensuality and sexiness. How to incorporate that into this

G-Pop
G! Graffiti, Pop! Pop art! G-Pop! My graffiti, cutting, innovative style taking the letters, the letters which are the sole foundation for almost every graffiti artist and pushing them further, twisting them tighter, shooting my six shooter of style on the ground under the letters

Dulce
Dulce, sweetness, lick the lips kind of candy, candy for the eyes, candy for the senses, senses of touch, senses of taste, taste of the lips, taste down the throat. Throat being the path to sustain, sustain all that comes through or down the path filled with flavor, with yumminess. This is my Dulce, my candy, and yes, i brought enough to share because sweetness is always sweeter when shared.

Krash
A lovely reincarnation, Krash, a former nightclub in Queens, NY. Just a B&W drawing, a shady nightclub owner(I really dread the thought of that!), an unpaid bill and a water spill that nearly destroyed the drawing now are happy to have this lovely reincarnation. It' a wonderful and dramatic style

It’s In The Blood
I really cant remember when I did the first Blood piece, but it was small and I was still very very new to Photoshop. Revisiting this piece is very very nostalgic to me, as i looked deep into the design I was able to see my growth and progress in this digital realm, I make no

Chicago Quadritos
Quadritos, little 4' x 4" wooden squares installed 1.5" apart from each other on a brick wall in the restaurant Mercadito in Chicago. The art was loosely based on the eagle and serpent emblem on the flag of Mexico. I love this piece so much I really wanted to create a digital piece of art for it. Each quadrito was painted using a circle

Graffiti 3D
circle pixilated style for the serpent and a square square pixilation for the eagle combining the 2 styles of pixels. Up close each wooden panel is its own tiny abstract painting but the sum of all the parts together create the serpent and eagle which you can see if you're away from the piece and if you still

The Battle for EVL, Miami
Ok ok, we all know now that my heart still lies in its graffiti roots, seems i will never break free, not that I am trying though. Here I have combined several concepts I had floating around. I love the idea of the dark and light birds both descending and ascending,

Brooklyn
Brooklyn, what is this love me hate me affair I have with this borough. This original painting was done on plywood for a music video for a great performer from Brooklyn, Krista. And as is my M.O. I forgot to bring my camera so the only existing photo came from my cell camera, very low res to say the least. This is the digital piece
